Box TensionerThe older style of tensioner that is found between posts and has a box.
CornerAny place in which the fence changes direction.
End Post TensionerA single barrel tensioner that mounted on a termination post.
Line PostAny post that is not on a corner or termination.
Line Post TensionerA double barrel tensioner that is mounted on the posts and tightens two different streches of rail.
Paying outUnrolling the fence before it is placed into the brackets.
SplicingAttaching two rails so that they become one.
SpoolerThe new style of tensioner that is mounted on either a line or termination post.
Stable SoilAny soil that provides an excellent foundation for the fence. Examples include red clay and topsoil.
TensionersMechanism used to tighten the fence.
TerminationAny time the fence begins or ends.
Top LineThe very top of the top rail of fence. The top line should gently follow the roll of the land.
Unstable SoilAny soil that fails to provide a solid foundation for the fence. Examples include chronically wet soil, sand, and soil that has been moved.
